My name is Tommi Mäkelä, and I’m passionate about creating technology solutions to address real business challenges and generate measurable value. I hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Aalto University in Finland. While my previous roles have carried titles like Business Intelligence and Controlling, my work has gone far beyond traditional reporting.

In these positions, I’ve built a strong technical foundation by developing full-stack data solutions — including data engineering (ETL pipelines, data modeling), back-end and front-end development, and deploying analytics tools across cloud and on-premise environments. I’ve delivered both code-based and low-code software solutions, driving the development of self-service platforms, automated reporting, and data products that directly support business decision-making.

Now working as a Data Scientist, I bring both deep technical skills and business understanding to the table — and I’m excited to continue delivering high-value solutions powered by data and AI.
